Is Eosin B vegan?

Eosin B is a synthetic fluorescent acidic dye of the xanthene class, distinguished from Eosin Y by the presence of two bromine and two nitro substituents. It is used as a biological stain and colourant, binding to basic proteins and staining them red or pink.
