Is Equus Extract vegan?

Equus Extract consists of extractives such as proteins, lipids, carbohydrates and other components obtained from the horse, Equus caballus. Depending on the tissue source, production may or may not involve slaughter, making its vegetarian status uncertain, but it is animal-derived and therefore not vegan.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
