Ericerus Pela Cera is a purified wax secreted by the scale insect Ericerus pela on the stems of Fraxinus chinensis (Chinese ash) trees, composed mainly of hexacosyl esters. It is also known as Chinese insect wax and requires harvesting of the insect secretions.
