Is Escin vegan?

Escin (aescin) is a mixture of saponins with anti-inflammatory, vasoconstrictor and vasoprotective effects, extracted from the seeds of horse chestnut, Aesculus hippocastanum.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
