Is Extract Residues (Coal), Naphthalene Oil Alk., Distn. Overheads vegan?

This is a complex combination of hydrocarbons obtained as overhead distillation residue from the alkaline extraction of coal-derived naphthalene oil; it may contain more than 0.1% w/w benzene, a known carcinogen.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
