Is Guanine vegan?

Guanine is a purine nucleobase that, in cosmetic applications, is derived from the scales of fish. It creates a pearlescent, shimmering effect in cosmetic formulations and is used as a colourant and optical brightener in products such as nail polishes, eyeshadows, and lipsticks.
