Is Lac Extract vegan?

Lac Extract is derived from milk and is used as a cosmetic ingredient; it should not be confused with lac/laccaic acid derived from the insect Kerria lacca despite similar naming.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
