Laneth-40 is an ethoxylated lanolin alcohol derivative, produced by reacting lanolin alcohols (derived from sheep's wool grease) with approximately 40 moles of ethylene oxide.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
