Laureth-20 is a polyethylene glycol ether of lauryl alcohol, formed via ethoxylation with an average of 20 moles of ethylene oxide. It is a nonionic surfactant used as an emulsifier and cleansing agent in personal care products, and can be produced from plant-derived or synthetic lauryl alcohol.
