Is Mica vegan?

Mica is a group of silicate minerals with a characteristic sheet-like crystal structure and perfect basal cleavage, mined from igneous and metamorphic rock. It is widely used in cosmetics as a pigment and for its light-reflecting properties.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
