Is Mono- and Diacetyl Tartaric Acid Esters of Mono- and Diglycerides of Fatty Acids vegan?

E472e consists of mono- and diacetyl tartaric acid esters of mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids (DATEM), used primarily as dough conditioners and emulsifiers. The fatty acids may originate from animal or vegetable sources. They are widely used in breadmaking to strengthen dough and improve volume.
