A petroleum-derived naphtha produced by steam cracking and subsequent hydrogenation, regulated when it contains more than 0.1% w/w benzene, a known carcinogenic hydrocarbon.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
