Petroselinic acid is a monounsaturated omega-12 fatty acid (18:1 cis-6) naturally occurring in parsley seed oil and other plant oils such as coriander, as well as in trace amounts in some animal fats; it is a positional isomer of oleic acid and is commercially produced from plant sources.
