Is Pitch, coal tar, low-temp. vegan?

Low-temperature coal tar pitch is a residue obtained from the low-temperature carbonization of coal, containing polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. It is a mineral-derived substance with no animal origin.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
