Polysilicone-22 is a complex synthetic siloxane polymer made by reacting hydrogen dimethicone with dodecene and crosslinking with bis-vinyldimethicone, further treated with methyltrimethoxysilane and aminopropyl trimethoxysilane to form a resinous coating. It is used in cosmetics, notably sunscreens, for water resistance and film formation.
