Polyurethane-18 is a synthetic polymer formed by the reaction of m-tetramethylene diisocyanate, polybutylene glycol and dimethylolpropionic acid, neutralized with triethylamine and chain-extended with hydrazine and diamines. It is used in cosmetics as a film-forming agent.
