Polyurethane-80 is a synthetic urethane polymer formed through a multi-step reaction involving condensation of diethyl carbonate with glycols and caprolactone, followed by reaction with isophorone diisocyanate and other components, then capped with 2-hydroxypropyl acrylate. It is used in cosmetics as a film-forming agent.
