Polyurethane-84 is a synthetic polymer prepared by condensing hexanediol with dimethyl carbonate to form a polyester, then reacting it with dimethylolpropionic acid, cyclohexane dimethanol and saturated methylene diphenyl diisocyanate, neutralized with triethylamine and chain-extended with hydrazine and diethylenetriamine; used as a film-former in cosmetics.
