Is Polyvinylpyrrolidone vegan?

A synthetic water-soluble polymer produced by the polymerisation of N-vinylpyrrolidone. It is used in pharmaceutical tablets, shampoos, toothpastes, adhesives, and as a film-forming agent in cosmetics.
