Is Potassium Hydroxystearate vegetarian?

A potassium salt of hydroxystearic acid, used as a thickening and emulsifying agent in cosmetics. Hydroxystearic acid can be derived from plant oils (e.g. castor oil) or, less commonly, animal fats, so the origin depends on the source used.
