Is Prasterone vegan?

Prasterone, also known as dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), is a steroid hormone that can be produced synthetically or derived from plant sterols (e.g. from wild yam or soy), used as a medication and dietary supplement.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
