Sodium Hyaluronate is the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, a glycosaminoglycan found in connective tissue. It is used in cosmetics as a moisturizing and skin-conditioning agent, and can be produced via bacterial fermentation or, less commonly, from animal tissue such as rooster combs.
