Sodium Lauroyl Isethionate is the sodium salt of the ester formed from lauric acid and isethionic acid, widely used as a mild anionic surfactant in cleansing products. It can be produced from plant-derived (e.g. coconut or palm) lauric acid combined with synthetic isethionic acid.
