Sodium Sulfate is an inorganic salt and the sodium salt of sulfuric acid. It occurs naturally as the mineral thenardite and is also produced industrially as a by-product of various chemical manufacturing processes. It is used as a filler, buffering agent, and processing aid in detergent and cosmetic formulations.
