Is Sorbitan Trioleate vegan?

Sorbitan Trioleate is an emulsifier produced by reacting sorbitol with oleic acid to form a triester. Oleic acid may be derived from animal or vegetable sources; the vegetable-derived version is commercially known as Span 85V, while the standard grade is Span 85.
