Is Spermaceti vegan?

Spermaceti is a waxy substance found in the spermaceti organ and blubber of the sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus). It was historically used in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and candles as an emollient and thickener, but its use is now banned in many countries due to whale protection laws.
