Is sr-(Methionyl sh-Polypeptide-3 Dipeptide-46 Oligopeptide-163 sh-Oligopeptide-197) vegetarian?
sr-(Methionyl sh-Polypeptide-3 Dipeptide-46 Oligopeptide-163 sh-Oligopeptide-197)
This is a single-chain recombinant peptide produced by Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell culture, created by fusing genes from sh-Polypeptide-3, Dipeptide-46, Oligopeptide-163, and sh-Oligopeptide-197 with an initiating methionine codon. The fusion peptide contains 75 amino acids composed of the standard 20 amino acids. Although produced using mammalian cell lines, the peptide itself is a biotechnologically manufactured product not derived from animal tissue extraction.
