Is Tar, Coal, Low-Temp. vegan?

A tar obtained from low-temperature carbonization of coal, consisting of a complex mixture of hydrocarbons. It is a mineral/petrochemical product with no animal origin.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
