Is Zinc Myristate vegan?

Zinc Myristate is the zinc salt of myristic acid, used in cosmetics as a thickening and lubricating agent. Myristic acid used in its manufacture may be derived from plant sources (e.g. coconut, nutmeg) or animal fats.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
