Candelilla wax is a hard, brittle vegetable wax obtained from the leaves and stems of the candelilla shrub (Euphorbia cerifera), native to northern Mexico and the southwestern United States. It is widely used in cosmetics, food coatings, and as a vegan alternative to beeswax.
