Is Dicalcium Diphosphate vegetarian?

Dicalcium diphosphate is a calcium salt of diphosphoric acid, produced synthetically, used as an anti-caking agent and mineral supplement in food. It is approved in the US (INS 540) but not currently listed as an EU-approved additive under that number.

An ingredient is considered vegetarian if it avoids components derived from killing an animal.
