Is Disperse Red 1 vegan?

Disperse Red 1 is a synthetic azo disperse dye used for dyeing polyester and other hydrophobic synthetic fibres. It produces red hues and is slightly soluble in water, applied from aqueous suspension. It is a fully synthetic compound with no animal-derived components.
