Kaempferol (3,4′,5,7-tetrahydroxyflavone) is a natural flavonol found in a wide variety of plants and plant-derived foods including kale, tea, spinach, broccoli, and propolis. It is a yellow crystalline solid named after 17th-century German naturalist Engelbert Kaempfer, and is used as a natural yellow colourant identified as C.I. Natural Yellow 13.
