Is Orange GGN vegan?

CI 15980, also known as Orange GGN or alpha-naphthol orange, is a synthetic monoazo dye formerly used as a food colourant but now banned for food use in the EU due to toxicological concerns.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
