Pyrogallol is an organic compound with the formula C6H3(OH)3, found in many plants and also produced synthetically. It is a water-soluble white solid (though samples are typically brownish due to air sensitivity) and is one of three isomers of benzenetriol. It is used in photography, hair dyeing, and as an oxidation base.
