Is sr-Cat Polypeptide-4 vegetarian?
sr-Cat Polypeptide-4
sr-Cat Polypeptide-4 is a single-chain recombinant protein produced by fermentation in E. coli, synthesized from a gene identical to that coding for cat-derived insulin-like growth factor. It contains up to 137 amino acids and may include disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation. Although modeled on an animal gene sequence, it is produced via microbial fermentation without use of animal-derived material.
