D9-Caffeine is a deuterium-substituted isotopologue of caffeine, sharing identical chemical and structural properties with conventional caffeine except that the nine hydrogen atoms of its three methyl groups are replaced with deuterium, a naturally occurring, stable, non-toxic isotope of hydrogen. It is produced synthetically for research and analytical use.
