Is Ethyl Cellulose vegan?

Ethyl cellulose is a cellulose ether in which some of the hydroxyl groups of cellulose are replaced by ethoxy groups. It is derived from plant-based cellulose and used as a binder, film former, and coating agent in food and pharmaceutical products.
