Is Fumaric Acid vegan?

Fumaric acid is a naturally occurring organic dicarboxylic acid found in many plants and produced in the human body during the citric acid cycle. In commerce it is primarily produced by chemical synthesis and used as an acidulant in food and beverages and as a pH adjuster in cosmetics.
