sr-Mussel Polypeptide-3 is a single chain recombinant peptide produced by fermentation in Pichia pastoris or E. coli, using a synthetic gene identical to that coding for Foot Protein-6 derived from mussel. The parent protein contains up to 122 amino acids and may include disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation.

An ingredient is considered vegan if it contains no animal-derived components at any point in its production.
