Is sr-Rice Polypeptide-1 vegetarian?

sr-Rice Polypeptide-1 is a single chain recombinant protein produced by fermentation in E. coli, synthesized from a gene identical to that encoding the 16.9 kDa Class I Heat Shock Protein 1 found in rice. It contains up to 150 amino acids and may include disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation.
