Is Oxygen vegan?

Oxygen is a colourless, odourless gas that constitutes approximately 21% of the Earth's atmosphere. In food applications, it is used as a packaging gas to maintain fresh appearance of products such as red meat, and is obtained industrially by fractional distillation of liquid air.
